KATHMANDU, 17th September, 2026 (WAM) — The UAE’s sixth humanitarian aid aircraft arrived in Nepal on Thursday carrying 25 tonnes of food parcels and clothing, bringing the total assistance delivered through the UAE air bridge to 245 tonnes in support of people affected by floods and landslides. The aircraft was received by Abdulla Saeed Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador. The shipment forms part of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to provide essential supplies to affected families and support Nepal in addressing the consequences of the disaster. The UAE team comprises Ali Khalfan Al Jahouri with Lotus-S, Bianca Schütz with Le Grand Ayden HB, Mohamed Jassim Al Serkal with Zen Liquidity, and Natalie Lankester with Tesla DXB. ABU DHABI, 17th September, 2026 (WAM) — In a joint security operation reflecting the level of international cooperation in combating transnational organised crime, the UAE Ministry of Interior, in cooperation and coordination with the Swedish authorities, announced the arrest of a Swedish national who is the leader of an international gang. The suspect had fled Sweden and was wanted under a Red Notice issued by the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) on suspicion of involvement in money laundering crimes.
